If you're sick of the weird empty EA lots but don't want to go through and replace them all, a save file is a great way to cut out some work for you as a player and jump straight into a more detailed and exciting world full of fresh Sims. My go-to save file is usually the SimLicy file as it has incredible detail and a very cohesive building style. Although the save file requires all the packs it is still very playable without them, you just may need to edit things when you first start playing.
